Today I want to talk about finding a niche that you can make money from.
Just a quick explanation of what a niche is if you are a bit unsure.
A niche is a specific subject that you are concentrating on.
It cannot be too broad.
For example, health is not really a niche.
You need to drill down further.
Weight loss affects you health but you need to drill down even further than that.
An example of a more specific niche might be :
Weight loss for inactive women over 40.
A niche like this would cut out many other people looking to improve their health.
Now you are most probably thinking that the more people you get, the more sales you will make.
This is NOT true.
You need to target a specific group of people that are looking for answers to a specific problem.
That way there will not be too many different factors that people are in.
The best way to find a niche market is with Google Keyword Tool.
Click on Google Keyword Tool above to see how it works for finding keywords.
I know that I have mentioned Google Keyword Tool many times but is so important to use it to find keywords with little competition but lots of searches.
Try and find keywords that you have an interest in and know something about.
Remember, doing keyword research will improve the number of sales you can make to your niche because you will have a group of highly targeted individuals interested in your subject.
The number of people may not seem very high, but they are interested in what your site is about.
That is how you find people that you can sell to.
Many people miss this first step of finding a targeted audience first before you decide what you are going to sell.
I wanted to explain this again because this step can mean the difference between making a lot of sales on line and making no sales.

Today I would like to speak a little bit about selling online.
Getting things wrong online can make life so difficult for people.
Doing things the correct way is so much easier.
If you put the cart before the horse, it is so much more difficult to make progress.
You need to get things in the right order.
Before you start selling online you have to get certain things in place in the right order.
The easiest part of this is setting up your squeeze page.
However you do need to make sure that it is highly converting.
Here are 5 tips for you.
At this stage you are not selling anything.
It is the message in your auto-responders e-mails that make you the money.
It is no good having just one auto-responder and thinking that you are all set up.
You need to set up a series of e-mails being sent out at a rate of 3 or 4 a week.
But, and this is a big but,
Only kidding.
You need to keep on sending out e-mails for at least two months.
In the last few weeks can you reduce the number of e-mails sent because they may have lost their impact.
Remember to only send out one sales e-mail a week.
The rest of the e-mails should be about how you can help the person.
Offer them advice on how to do things.
Maybe send them a humourous e-mail.
Do not just give the impression you are just trying to sell to them.
That is the NUMBER 1 reason why people will leave your list.
You want to make money but you need to offer the subscriber reasons to stay active active on your list.
I sign up to lists just to see what they have to offer.
If their e-mails are purely trying to sell something with every e-mail, I will just un-subscribe.
Make sure that the person is getting some valuable information by staying on your list.
I know I have said this before, but overselling can ruin your business.

Today I am going to talk about something I see every day online.
It is about posting too many adverts for your website.
A lot of internet marketers get so excited when they have their first advert on line.
They think that now all they have to do is sit back and wait for the money to start rolling in.
And they wait.
And they wait.
And they wait.....
This is not the way to do things.
Once you have your advert online you must carry on learning about the marketing business.
It is not called a business for nothing.
Business means WORK.
You have to spend your time learning techniques to improve your marketing.
You have to some research.
Search the internet for things "like how to be a successful marketer".
Remember I keep going on about the swipe folders I asked you to set up?
Use these to store interesting articles you find.
Do not make the mistake of thinking you will remember what you read in those articles.
YOU WILL NOT.
Save them in in your swipe folder so you can easily.
You should be spending at least an hour a day doing some kind of research.
Whenever you then need to refresh your memory about something, you will know exactly where to find the information.

Today I would like to talk about maintaining your reputation on line.
No matter what you do, mistakes often happen.
The mistake may have been caused by you or it may have been caused by someone else.
Who ever made the mistake, you need to do your best to sort it out.
Nothing infuriates people more than trying to find solutions to problems and not getting anywhere.
What you need to do is take it on the chin and help them to sort it out.
It is so important to maintain your reputation online.
If you get a complaint and just ignore it then chances are, the person will never buy anything from you again.
Remember your reputation precedes you.
Do not post blame, just sort it out.
If you can sort out the complaint you will get the reputation of being someone who cares and will take the time and effort to help other people.
Always treat the complainant with courtesy and respect.
Get in touch with person complaining and tell them that you will sort it out for them.
Try and respond to them within 24 hours so they do not feel forgotten.
Explain what you are going to do to rectify the problem.
Tell them that if they are still having difficulties do not be afraid to contact you again
Let them know that you are there to help them.
Apologize for the problem.
Do not judge the person on their ability to sort things out.
Remember, we were all new to the internet once.
Make them feel that most people online will help them out.
You want to make them feel that the internet is an exciting place to be.
Just think of them as one of your Grand parents.
Most people would go out of their way to help them.
Remember to be helpful and courteous.
That is the way to maintain your reputation online.

Today I would like to say a little bit about how to be a successful internet marketer and how to much confidence can cost your dearly.
When you first start out as an internet marketer things are always strange.
You do not know if you are doing this correctly.
You check, double check and even triple check things to make sure that they are working correctly.
As time goes by you get more confident when things are working out and you tend to get complacent.
This can be your big down fall!!!
I have been an internet marketer for a few years now.
I knew how to build a list.
I knew how to generate traffic.
I got used to sending messages with my auto-responder.
I thought I new it all.
However my over confidence has caused me to make a mistake.
I did not always check my auto-responder message were correct.
I recently found out that one of my down load page links had been set up with the wrong URL.
This meant that people that signed up for my FREE gift were not able to download it.
I have recently had to send out an apology to those people and given them the correct download link.
I hate to think how much damage this mistake has made to my reputation.
My advice therefore is NEVER get too confident.
Check and double check everything that you do online.
A simple typing error can cause major damage to your reputation
Make sure that this does not happen to you.
Learn from my mistakes.

Today I am going to get into the Christmas spirit.
More importantly, I am going to talk about how you can cash in on this period.
Now is the time to this about the best Christmas present ideas for 2012.
The way to do this will take about 30 minutes of work.
"Not more work" I hear you say.
Well if you want to make money you will have to do some work.
This only takes about thirty minutes, so I am sure you can find the time.
The first thing you need to do is to set up a new squeeze page.
If you just want to make some money and not bother with building your list you do not need to put a sign up form on your page.
The next thing you need to do is find the gifts that people are buying.
At this time of year everyone is buying gifts.
This will take a bit of effort on your part by doing some research.
The best way to do this is to use Google's Keyword Tool.
Just enter different keywords into the tool and look for keywords with more than about 3000 searches.
You could put in something like " Best Christmas present ideas for 2012"
It will then show you how many people are searching for that keyword.
Choose something that you think would make a great Christmas present.
Put the keyword in the keyword area of your squeeze page.
You can put more than one keyword in this area but do not overdo it.
I would suggest 5 - 10 keywords.
Next you need to find someone selling that gift.
I would recommend using somewhere like clickbank, but you can just put in something like "Affiliate sales" into Google to get list of them
Then you just sign up as an affiliate for whatever you want to sell.
The choice is up to you.

Hi Guys,
Today I am going to expand on something I mentioned in an earlier blog.
Do you remember I asked you in a previous blog to set up some swipe folders?
Well now I am going to explain to you the purpose of those folders.
By now you should have a lot of information in those folders which are of interest to your niche.
If you did not set up the folders and are having difficulty in finding content for people in your niche you should set them up now.
It is at times when you run out of things to say too your niche that these are so useful.
Look back through your saved articles and I am sure you will find something that will be useful to people in your niche.
Now there are two ways that you can use these articles.
You can either post the article, unchanged , to your list.
If you do this you will have to say where the article came from and post an acknowledgement and thanks for the article.
You should also put a place where they owner of the article can contact you if they want you to remove the article.
Remember, the owner of the article has the right to limit where it is used.
Neglect this and you could be done for copyright infringement.
A better way of doing this is to write the article in your own words.
This means changing at least 50% of the content.
It does take a little bit of effort to do this but at least there will be no copyright issues.
Re-writing the article means that you can give it your own flare and character.

Remember, keep adding new articles to your swipe file for when you find you you nothing to say to your followers.
