The hidden calories that stop you losing weight.

Hi Guys,

You might be trying to lose weight but there are some things that will hinder your progress.

A lot of people when they are losing weight,  keep an eye on what they are eating.

They try and keep track of every calorie they consume.

What they do not keep an eye on are the hidden calories.

An example might be a simple cup of coffee

Not the high calories type from the take aways but the simple type where you put a spoonfull of coffee in a mug.

So where are the calories in that?

If you just have a teaspoon of coffee and drink it black then there are very few calories.

It is when you add other things that the calories start to go up.

For instance if you add milk you are adding extra calories

If you add sugar you are adding extra calories.

If you add two spoonfulls of sugar to your coffee and drink five cups a day then that is an extra 10 spoonfulls of sugar a day.

Those are most probably calories you did not realise you were consuming.

That is just your coffee!!!

What else do you consume through out the day?

Maybe you add salad dressing to your healthy salad.

There are loads of calories in salad dressing.

Chances are you did not take account of those.

Even simple things like porridge oats can have extra sugar in them.

It is all these extra calories that you do not always record that can mean the difference between weight loss and weight gain.

Just remember to make a record of EVERYTHING you eat and drink, and that includes ALCOHOL, that you consume in a day.
