Maintaining Your Reputation Online.

Hi Guys,

I hope you are having a great week.

Today I would like to talk about maintaining your reputation on line.

No matter what you do, mistakes often happen.



The mistake may have been caused by you or it may have been caused by someone else.

Who ever made the mistake, you need to do your best to sort it out.

Nothing infuriates people more than trying to find solutions to problems and not getting anywhere.

What you need to do is take it on the chin and help them to sort it out.

It is so important to maintain your reputation online

If you get a complaint and just ignore it then chances are, the person will never buy anything from you again.

Remember your reputation precedes you

Do not post blame,  just sort it out.

If you can sort out the complaint you will get the reputation of being someone who cares and will take the time and effort to help other people.

Always treat the complainant with courtesy and respect. 

Get in touch with person complaining and tell them that you will sort it out for them.

Try and respond to them within 24 hours so they do not feel forgotten.

Explain what you are going to do to rectify the problem.

Tell them that if they are still having difficulties do not be afraid to contact you again

Let them know that you are there to help them.

Apologize for the problem.

Do not judge the person on their ability to sort things out.

Remember, we were all new to the internet once.

Make them feel that most people online will help them out.

You want to make them feel that the internet is an exciting place to be.

Just think of them as one of your Grand parents.

Most people would go out of their way to help them.

Remember to be helpful and courteous.

That is the way to maintain your reputation online.
