Adding Highlights, Bolds And Colour

Hi Guys,

Today I want to talk about adding a splash of color to your web pages to make them more appealing.

The first thing you need to do is go to your ebook in Open Office in the folder where you stored it yesterday.

What you need to do now is to hit return after each sentence.

This has the effect of making your text easier to read.

Work through your book doing this to every sentence.

What you now need to do is add some bold and underline.

Go through your text and only underline or bold words that you want to bring attention to.

You may have noticed throughout this course I have done that to bring attention to words that I feel are important.

Things like keywords or important information should be highlighted.

You do this by left clicking over the word or words and then click on the bold or underline button at the top of the screen.

If you want to highlight a phrase, the again left click and drag your cursor over the sentence and the click the highlight button at the top of the screen.

When you have worked through your document, go back and check that the formatting is still correct.

If you have got any blank space at the top of the pages then just delete them as explained previously.

That is it for today.

A nice quick one.

You should now find that your e-book is looking more professional and structured.

In the next blog I will talk about adding images and referencing the images.

Have a profitable day.
